I remember my first trip to Vegas a few years ago, my good friend Jen and I shopping happily at Caesar’s Palace. Ted Baker London came into view and Jen stopped and asked if I had ever bought anything there. I admitted to her that I had never even heard of it. During my trip to Paris in 2014, I popped into an opulent little shop on the Rue de Seine named Cire Trudon. Dark and moody, this little boutique’s walls were covered in rich black and gold wallpaper and displays made of black, lacquered wood. Well, another New York Fashion Week is about to come to a close, and as per usual, it did not disappoint. I had the chance to finally sit down and watch some of the shows last night live streaming from New York, and wanted to share some of my favourite looks.
A few weeks ago I was presented with an amazing opportunity to work in a styling suite at the Toronto International Film Festival! Dressing celebrities attending red carpet events – could you ask for anything more? To say I was “thrilled” is the understatement of the century.
Once I was confirmed, I sped down to Toronto to get to work. It was like a dream come true – our team would be working out of the multi-million dollar penthouse of the Trump Tower in downtown Toronto. I’m not sure what was more mindblowing – the penthouse suite, the hundreds of designer gowns available, the glittering jewelry or the amazing team I got to work with.
