Glowing, Hydrated Skin: Avène Eau Thermale Spring Water

Funny story: after finishing a 5K run after work, I realized that I’d forgotten my access pass to the office on my desk. So, no access to the showers for me. I berated myself as I climbed into my car while sweating buckets. Of course, I was meeting a couple of friends at an event in 30 minutes, so I resigned myself to the fact that A) I could either cancel or C) show up looking (and smelling) like a sweaty mess.  Continue reading Glowing, Hydrated Skin: Avène Eau Thermale Spring Water

Have you ever found a clothing brand that seemed like it was made for you? I have. It’s Ted Baker.

I remember my first trip to Vegas a few years ago, my good friend Jen and I shopping happily at Caesar’s Palace. Ted Baker London came into view and Jen stopped and asked if I had ever bought anything there. I admitted to her that I had never even heard of it. She grabbed me by the hand and ushered me through the threshold of this flowery, whimsical wonderland and I was sold.  Thanks, Jen! Continue reading Grand Opening Celebration For Ted Baker London

How To Build A Capsule Wardrobe

Over the past few weeks, I have cleared out my closet of pieces I no longer use or no longer fit. While I do this annually, this particular clear-out was an emotionally charged one. I had a few of my designer bags stolen late last year and every time I look at the empty space in my closet where they should be, I’m reminded of that painful experience.  Continue reading How To Build A Capsule Wardrobe

The Classiest Smartphone Case Ever: LuxBoxCase

I remember the last time I dropped my iPhone. It was my beloved iPhone 4S and I was juggling bags of groceries, my phone and my keys, trying to open my front door without putting anything down. In the blink of an eye, I dropped my beloved phone, and its sleek, fragile front shattered into a cobweb of broken glass.  I groaned and cursed the poorly made yet extremely expensive excuse of a smartphone case that popped off and laid next to my iPhone, mocking me. THAT WAS IT. Then and there, I started my hunt for the perfect phone case that wasn’t hideous and bulky, but affordable at the same time. Beauty Review: Les Soins de Jacynthe

With each passing day, the sun is shining brighter and warmer, the snow is receding and signs of spring are all around. Thank goodness…because I didn’t think I could survive another month of snow, chills and freezing rain. Continue reading Beauty Review: Les Soins de Jacynthe

A Day at Smudge Beauty Bar

A Day at Smudge Beauty Bar

Inspired by our latest photoshoots together, my friend Emilie and I decided to switch it up from outdoor locations and take things inside. Emilie, with her keen eye for fashion and architecture suggested Smudge Beauty Bar, a relatively new spa which opened in Ottawa last year on Dalhousie Street…home to many an up and coming boutique.
