Glowing, Hydrated Skin: Avène Eau Thermale Spring Water

Funny story: after finishing a 5K run after work, I realized that I’d forgotten my access pass to the office on my desk. So, no access to the showers for me. I berated myself as I climbed into my car while sweating buckets. Of course, I was meeting a couple of friends at an event in 30 minutes, so I resigned myself to the fact that A) I could either cancel or C) show up looking (and smelling) like a sweaty mess.  Continue reading Glowing, Hydrated Skin: Avène Eau Thermale Spring Water

#FeatureFriday: Julianne Buchholz, Haute Couture Fashion Designer

I love haute couture. It’s fashion at its finest…true art. From Alexander McQueen to Dior, haute couture has proven to be an art form so beautiful and unique, that I often look at these creations in wonder while marvelling “How did they do that?” and “I’ve never seen fabric so beautiful!”

#BeautySpotlight Part 1: Leonor Greyl Paris Soin Naturel Du Cheveu (…And Best Beauty Find Of The Year)

A head full of thick, lustrous, shiny hair is as exciting and drool-worthy to me as winning the Powerball Lottery. For as long as I can remember, gorgeous hair has been something that I value highly. I can’t help it. I will see a head full of gorgeous, bouncy curls, or thick, perfect blonde beach waves, or gorgeous natural kinks and something inside me wants to reach out and play with that hair! Inappropriate? Yes. Am I alone? No (maybe). Continue reading #BeautySpotlight Part 1: Leonor Greyl Paris Soin Naturel Du Cheveu (…And Best Beauty Find Of The Year)

The Allure Of The Incredibly Expensive Candle

During my trip to Paris in 2014, I popped into an opulent little shop on the Rue de Seine named Cire Trudon. Dark and moody, this little boutique’s walls were covered in rich black and gold wallpaper and displays made of black, lacquered wood.  I stared in awe as the sales associate greeted me in the typical “laissez-faire” French attitude. New Years Resolutions (and How To Keep Them)

Happy New Year, All! 2016 is off to a great start already, and it’s only five days into the year.

Each December, I start thinking about New Year’s Resolutions that I want to set for myself. For a long time, I promised myself that I’d “overhaul my life” in the same boring ways such as promising to work out more, save more money, exercise more, eat less garbage and drink much less alcohol. I’d usually last about 2-3 weeks before reaching for that glass of rosé to wash down the man-sized New York Cherry Cheesecake slice I was gorging on. Mama Got a Brand New Bag: Louis Vuitton Petit Noé

A few months ago, I treated myself to a new bag.  Mama literally got brand new bag! What a thrill!  After moving into our new house three years ago, my entire salary pretty much went into making our house a cozy home.

This year, the purse strings finally loosened up and I bought myself a bag that I had been dreaming of for years: the Louis Vuitton Monogram Petit Noé (pronounce “no-ay).  I really liked this bag’s shape, as it is very in style right now, yet incredibly classic.  Furthermore, this is one of Louis Vuitton’s (LV) oldest styles and it has an interesting history…and I’m a sucker for history. Sister Act! Balmain’s Newest Ad Campaign

The House of Balmain has just released a sneak peek of its Fall/Winter 2015 campaign featuring famous sister acts Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Gigi and Bella Hadid, and Joan and Erika Smalls (ashamed to say that I didn’t even know that Joan Smalls had a sister).

The campaign is super glitzy, very 80s and very Mario Sorrenti…the famous photographer who shot the campaign. Keep scrolling to see the gorgeous shots. Continue reading Sister Act! Balmain’s Newest Ad Campaign
