I’ll admit it. I’m not the best accessorizer. I like to keep things simple, so you’ll rarely see me donning a giant logo-covered bag, statement jewelry of any sort (I do love a huge cocktail ring though), crazy body chains that look like something out of a dominatrix’s chest of goodies, huge belts, etc. I gravitate towards delicate gold jewelry, pearls and diamonds (of course). When I go shopping, I can usually spot a pair of gold studs from a mile away amidst a ton of in-your-face cocktail jewelry. Continue reading The Best Accessory Trends For Spring 2016
As little kids, opening our stockings was just as fun as opening presents on Christmas morning. My Mom would go overboard, stuffing them with enough candies, little toys, hair clips, tangerines and Lip Smackers to keep us occupied for weeks. With a ton of Christmas and holiday parties staring back at me from the calendar, I mentally take stock of my wardrobe to see which outfits are party appropriate. Continue reading Perk Up Your Holiday Outfits With Statement Necklaces
A few weeks ago I was presented with an amazing opportunity to work in a styling suite at the Toronto International Film Festival! Dressing celebrities attending red carpet events – could you ask for anything more? To say I was “thrilled” is the understatement of the century.
Once I was confirmed, I sped down to Toronto to get to work. It was like a dream come true – our team would be working out of the multi-million dollar penthouse of the Trump Tower in downtown Toronto. I’m not sure what was more mindblowing – the penthouse suite, the hundreds of designer gowns available, the glittering jewelry or the amazing team I got to work with. I’m still buzzing from the experience! Continue reading Style Domination Goes to the Toronto International Film Festival 2015!
Last week, I was incredibly fortunate to work in a stylist suite in Toronto performing public relations duties and styling celebrities for red carpet events for the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2015. It was an amazing and surreal experience!
During my down time, I popped into the beautiful Tiffany & Co. located in downtown Toronto on Bloor Street. As per usual, I was dazzled by all of the sparklers Tiffany has to offer, including the new interpretations of the Tiffany Victoria™, Tiffany Bow and Tiffany Infinity collections. So…you’ve won the lottery. Congratulations! Now what?
This is something fun that my sisters and I do every now and then…usually after something major financial-wise happens in our lives like the need for a massive car repair, having landscaping done or a snowstorm hits and we wonder what the hell we are doing suffering through Canadian winters. We play “What would you do if you won the lottery?” Continue reading Freedom 35: A Lottery Winner’s Wishlist
Class. Elegance. Legacy. Diamonds. All words synonymous with Tiffany & Co.
I’ve always loved Tiffany & Co. I knew at an early age that this jeweller was special. I remember watching Jeannie Beker on Fashion Television and being amazed at the gorgeous, organic Bone Cuff that she’d wear each episode. I will never forget the first time I visited the iconic Tiffany & Co. store on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan – the excitement and thrill of standing in the same place that Audrey Hepburn did in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The day I finally acquired my first piece of Tiffany jewelry, I floated out of the store on Cloud Nine… Continue reading Style Domination Visits Tiffany & Co.’s Newest Canadian Location – Rideau Centre, Ottawa, Ontario
