Cool, Unique Brands Worth Checking Out

Cool, Unique Brands Worth Checking Out | www.styledomination.com

I’ll admit that lately, my shopping adventures have left me feeling a little uninspired. While there are a lot of great trends out there for this spring/summer season, I’m finding a lot of the major brands you’ll find in your local mall are offering options that are really watered down versions of what you’d see in magazines. Also, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect crossbody bag and my visits to the top accessories stores you find everywhere have been pretty boring, generic…and well, EVERYWHERE. So, I hit the internet and grabbed a stack of my favourite magazines and started researching cool and upcoming brands.  Continue reading Cool, Unique Brands Worth Checking Out

Over the past few weeks, I have cleared out my closet of pieces I no longer use or no longer fit. While I do this annually, this particular clear-out was an emotionally charged one. JCBO tends to be thicker and more sticky…not ideal as a skin moisturizer and can get a little goopy for hair. Continue reading How To Deep Condition Your Hair Using Natural Oils

Wash, Rinse, Repeat: The Double Cleansing Method

One of the little things in life that makes me very happy is a set of fluffy, white, Downy-scented towels.  You can find a set in every bathroom in my house.

This love was tested by crappy facial cleansers.  Sick of having my white towels looking like they’d been shot by Homer’s makeup gun, I decided to set out on a difficult quest to find the perfect cleanser that effectively removed all of my makeup without stripping my face of its natural oils. I thought it was high time to start double-cleansing to ensure I’m washing all that makeup off on a daily basis. Continue reading Wash, Rinse, Repeat: The Double Cleansing Method
