UPDATE: Chanel Bag Savings Progress

Well, it’s been about a month since I started saving for my dream bag: a Chanel Quilted Medium Double Flap Bag in lambskin with gold hardware.

I figure at this rate, I should have my bag in approximately…never. Sigh.

Only Chanel bag I can afford?

October was a month full of expenses. My husband and I had our basement renovated (it looks AHM-mazing), we are refinishing our pool table, I went to Toronto for World MasterCard Fashion Week and I have been socking away a little money for Christmas. Ottawa Fashion Blogger Style Domination Chanel Bag

This is a slow start, and I hope to speed up my saving. Not sure how I’m going to do that…but right now, I’m eyeing my overstuffed closet and thinking an eBay sale is in my immediate future….or selling vital organs on the black market.

Talk soon,

  1. Do they have The Real Real in Canada? I love them! It’s online consignment, but what makes them different (and special) is a. You will get 60% of what sells and b. They will come to your house to get the clothing/accessories. I love them and highly recommend them. If you use them, tell them I referred you because once you sell a certain amount and/or refer a certain number of people, your commission will go up to 70%! Anyways, depending on your closet- it could be a huge help! Good luck. Xoxo http://www.quintessentialjill.con

    1. OMG! So many people have suggested The Real Real! I will definitely look them up…not sure if they are in Canada though. Thank you so much for the suggestion, and if I do go with them, I will most definitely let them know you referred me! Thanks Jill! xoxo

  2. LOL Love that Chanel de paperbag! It’ll be ALL the rage in 2016. 😛
Chanel bags hold absolutely NO appeal for me. I don’t find the quilted look or the chain strap to be “me”. But I think it’s good that you’re saving up for it rather than buying it with money you don’t have… which LOTS of people do, it’s so ridiculous!

  3. Love the pie graph. 😀 I also like to save up for a splurge – debt is BAD. I don’t have anything big on my immediate wishlist to save for, which is nice. But of course it just means I fritter too much away on a multitude of small purchases!

That Chanel is my fave of their current styles. I hope you get to your goal soon, and enjoy the hell out of the bag!

    1. Thank you so much! Almost everyone has been so positive about this. I know it’s frivolous, but it makes me happy and I’m not hurting anyone! AND I’m going about it the right way! LOL! And I used Piktochart to create that pie graph in case you’re wondering! Take care and thanks for reading! xoxoxox

    1. The struggle is real, isn’t it! Have you blogged about your saving methods at all? I’d be interested to read…and good for you. A set of LV luggage is so classic and timeless…and can double as home decor!
